The blue spotted salamander or
ambystoma laterale, is apart of the category "species of special concern" in Massachusetts. This little guy is dark blue/black color and covered in bright
blue spots. Their major threat is degradation and fragmentation of aquatic habitats, which are used for reproduction, and terrestrial habitats needed for foraging,
overwintering, growth and development and urbanization. These cool creature need to be saved if we want the blue to live on!
I wonder why they are blue?
ReplyDeleteThat is a good question, i wonder what makes them blue, and it is an intriguing tropic, but it's not really a world problem. It is something that would be very cool to preserve.
