We are in for extinction

http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/05/18/can-green-virtues-help-us-survive-climate-change/?_r=0
A interview on ideas of how people can help with climate change problems, why our efforts failed, new plans for global warming. And yes, if nothing changes soon, we are in for species extinction. Global warming, it causes all the trouble, and of course, California's drought is involved.

  1. The drought is definitely involved with the global warming issues we are having. If we don't do something soon then there will be problems in the future like animal being extinct. Some solutions this Article had was to make coal production low. But many people disagree. We need to find a solution.

    1. I think that California's drain on water resource is mostly because of the factories or industries. California is like US's fruit source and, basically producing anything, takes water. Animals will be extinct, sure, and that, includes us.

  3. I think that there's a way to creat animals using stem cells and DNA from their dead ancestors. If we caused an animal to go extinct by pollution or hunting I think we should bring that animal back. And hey, why not create a real Jurassic park?

    1. I personally think that is clone? A real Jurassic Park? I like this idea, but thinking economically, I don't think many people will be willing to actually do something about it, more like, thinking.

  4. This article was saying that we cant really predict what global warming will do or how it will impact modern day life. It said that they know for sure that humans have caused global warming but that seems to be all they know. I read a different article that said all this stuff that will happen at the tip of global warming. I think that all the scientists need to pull together and decide what they tell the general public because what they tell us will affect out actions and we want to help end global warming.

    1. Global warming is a huge problem, sure, we are causing it, sure. Still, problems are much easier to cause than solve, mainly the scientists argue too much over 'how to solve' and their solutions are barely effective anyway. Scientists that propose 'green house' failed to realize that as long as we keep up our modern technology and needs, no matter how hard we try, we cannot be 'green house'

  6. I believe that this global warming issue is a huge problem and we need to do something fast because if we don't this could really affect us. I also agree with Conner that if global warming does start endangering animals we could maybe use stem cells to bring them back to life.

    1. I think it does effect us, us as residents on planet Earth. As for animals, think of how much using stem cells would cause. I mean, sure, we can do that, but considering how many environmental problems we have right now and will have, bringing them back to life wouldn't help too much. Bring them back to life to die again? Because that is what will happen if this goes on. It is not really much about individual species, but more on survival of 'Earth'

  7. I of course agree that global warming is a huge issue and that using stem cells would be an ingenious idea, but I do think that we need to focus on saving the earth.
