Stop Solar Power Haters!!

But only 1% of our energy comes directly from solar! There are oil and coal power companies who are fighting to keep their businesses making money buy trying to tax and penalize people buying green energy. MA has the potential to become a solar power giant, producing tons of power to supply tons of houses across the nation.
That's really cool, I did not realize that how little, people use solar power. You would think with the climate change and everything, people would use more alternative energy.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Andrew, there are a lot of solar company ads and there is not a lot of solar power being used considering its energy/ money efficient
ReplyDeleteAccording to your article, "Solar power has tripled in the US in the last two years, with another American family or business going solar every four minutes." The spread of solar energy is out of these business owner's hands already. Eventually, Massachusetts will inevitably become, as you said, "A solar power giant." The only thing we can hope for is that these businesses, such as Koch Industries and the Edison Electric Institute, will find alternate ways to use their services/resources, hopefully without a carbon footprint, and as quickly as possible.
ReplyDeletePeople should try to use more solar power because it is only 2% of our energy source and it is such an efficient and good way to get energy that doesn't damage the environment like the burning of fossil fuel or coal. I hope that we will soon have a solar panel revolution and it will become our main source of energy.
