Golden-winged Warblers are one of the many species of animals in Massachusetts that are endangered. They come to Massachusetts in the summer, and live in woodland edges that border overgrown clearings. However, these beautiful birds are going extinct due to humans destroying their environments.
This article explains more about this, and the actions we are taking to solve this problem.
I found this very interesting. It says "Restoration and maintenance of habitat supporting healthy, reproducing populations of golden-winged warbler in targeted areas in eight States." Do they plan on taking the birds into sanctuaries?
ReplyDeleteIt is important that we take action on saving endangered animals like these birds because one key animal taken out of the food web could really cause some harm to the surrounding animals that interact with the Golden-Winged Warblers . Even if one animal is taken out of the web, it affects the other animals, creating a trophic cascade.
