Air Pollution In the US

Air pollution is caused predominantly from burning fossil fuels. Natural sources of air pollution include forest fires, volcanic eruptions, wind erosion, pollen dispersal, evaporation of organic compounds, and natural radioactivity. These natural sources of pollution often soon disperses and thins settling near its locale. However, major natural events such as volcanic activity can convey throughout the air spreading, thinning and settling over continents. Fossil Fuels burning for heating, electrical generation, and in motor vehicles are responsible for about 90% of all air pollution in the United States.

  1. I also studied this topic and I believe that the best way to solve this problem is use our cars less. If too lazy to walk or drive I believe that you should substitute your car with a more environmental car, one that may be electric like the Tesla.

  2. We really don't want the air we breath to be polluted. We need to find a solution that won't turn the clean air we breath bad. Our society has been coming up with some good solutions to this problem likes hybrid car. The hybrid car is helping a lot and if everyone had a hybrid car it would help the environment.

  3. I agree with Finn, we need to find a more environmentally safe way to see our cars. Another solution might be to limit the number of cars per family/drivers.

  6. I also studied this topic, I found out that gas coming from green houses is also an extreme problem that is affecting our ecosystems and speeding up global warming. These types of gases are also breaking down the ozone layer which is causing seriously harmful effects on photosynthesis. If we can find a solution to using less amount of fuel from cars.

  7. Good paragraph full of details. This is an extremely important issue that we need to fix now.

  8. If we began to use wind and solar power, it would lessen the affect that humans have on global warming. In fact, 75 million barrels of oil are saved annually with solar power. I truly believe that with solar and wind power we can help quite a bit of this! It would also help, like some other people said, to use cars less so the exhaust doesn't have such a bad effect.

  9. In California we really have alot of erosion on our shores every where. Rockslides happen all the time and land is being destroyed. In sothern California like LA there is smog everywhere.mIt is very disgusting and makes everything super hot. We need to do something about pollution fast.

  10. Air pollution is a known issue that is caused by fossil fuels. Your post is very educational because not everybody knows how everyday actions affect the air this much.

  11. I believe that it is our duty as humans living on this earth to make sure we are not endangering our air - that WE breathe. So by burning all these fossil fuels, not only are we harming the environment, but harming us. So if the fate of earth's beauty and life isn't enough to do something about this, than we need to stop this for our society's sake. I think e should learn to lean towards a more eco friendly way of living, and minimize our habits of using overusing heating, electricity, and exhaust releasing vehicles.
