Like Indiana Jones, most people harbor a dislike for snakes. They're scaled reptiles that slither around and have big fangs. They also can be extremely dangerous due to venoms and toxins in them, as well as their natural "predator" instincts. But currently, a certain species of snake, the Burmese Python, have been causing trouble in the Everglades and in swampy areas across the United States.

These snakes are natural predators and extremely fast, normally being found in Asia. But, in the United States, people like having it as a pet. There snakes are
HUGE and can grow up to 20 feet long, which is a hassle to own and feed. So after a while, people release them into the wild. The snakes then find an area they enjoy and start their reign of terror. Mainly in places like the Everglades in Florida, these snakes have been a nuisance by messing up the food chain and by overthrowing the top animal and becoming the "big kahuna" of the swamp. Lots of animals in swamps like possums and marsh rabbits and even more have decreased in population by up to 99% because of the snakes. Plus, because of the snake's natural stealth capabilities, its almost impossible to be hunted down and caught. These snakes have invaded the swamps across the United States and are slowly overturning the natural order of things.
